Every 4 seconds a child dies before their fifth birthday.
Every 2 minutes a mother dies in pregnancy, delivery or shortly after birth. It’s a tragedy.
They are dying from preventable, treatable diseases, including malaria. It can be stopped quickly.
Women and Children First, enabled by our kind supporters, empowers women and communities to find the solutions to overcome these problems, including giving health advice and improving access to health facilities.
It’s a small charity with a big impact, saving over 6,250 lives – and counting – and supporting over 12 million people.
Women and Children First, with our partners, are also supporting mothers and families to reduce the risks of the coronavirus.
Groups are making facemasks, getting important information about handwashing and we are working to source much-needed PPE.
