Women and Children First is looking for volunteers to join our cheer station at the London Landmarks Half Marathon on Sunday 24th March. We want you to make lots of noise and give all runners loud, enthusiastic encouragement - including Call the Midwife actress Jennifer Kirby.
The Women and Children First team will be based along Embankment, towards the final stretch of the race. There will be t-shirts and cheer sticks to help provide lots of support to all the runners. The day is great fun, and loudly cheering on runners and their names gives them a real boost as they come towards the end of the race.
Running for Women and Children First will be actress Jennifer Kirby, seen recently playing Nurse Valerie Dyer on Call the Midwife. Jennifer has done an amazing job raising over £1,200 so far. To thank her and support Jennifer on her first ever half marathon, come join the Women and Children First cheer station.
Jennifer says about her London Landmarks Half Marathon race, “Please support my first half marathon, in my adopted home city, to help this incredible cause!”
If you’d like to be part of it and can come to Embankment on the morning of Sunday 24th March, please email Mark Mina, Fundraising and Communications Manager, m.mina@womenandchildrenfirst.org.uk to register your interest.
If you would still like to sponsor Jennifer, you can do so on her fundraising page.
